Shortly after my New Orleans trip, I picked up a hat at a swap meet. Dark blue corduroy with JADO in big block font. Five bucks.

I wore that hat a lot and I decided that I wanted my nickname to be JADO. A nod to this new man I had become.
On paper you’re not supposed to give yourself a nickname, but I don’t play by the rules.
Like Kobe and Shaq. It’s got a nice ring to it.
Fun. Introspective. Sophisticated. Psychedelic. Adventurous. Weird.
My alter ego. A name is an identity.
